Recognition is Granted to Students who Studied Abroad in Fall 2017
Muhlenberg encourages students in every major to study abroad while earning college credit towards their degree. In fact, 52.4% of the Class of 2017our graduates from the studied abroad during their college career. The College supports four discipline-specific study abroad opportunities as well as offering over 100 approved programs in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa.

Assumption College honored 73 students with awards for academic excellence during the 34th Annual Honors Convocation, held on April 23 in the Jeanne Y. Curtis Performance Hall. Awards ranged from departmental honors to special recognitions, to Augustine Scholarships, the College's highest academic honor.

WPI Places 61 on Fall NEWMAC All-Academic Teams
Led by 18 three-time honorees, WPI placed 61 fall student-athletes on their respective NEWMAC Academic All-Conference teams. Comparing year-to-year, the 50 student athletes across all fall sports except for football, which was in the Liberty League until this season, topped last year's sum of 39. Football accounted for 11 additional nods and, while the number of honorees have decreased compared to past years, the GPA requirement has risen from 3.3 to 3.5 to match the other sports. Women's Soccer (13), Men's Soccer (11) and Volleyball (8) all produced a record number of selections while Women's Cross Country (8) tied two other years (2006, 2015). WPI also tied Wellesley with the most volleyball selections. Field Hockey featured six student-athletes and Men's Cross Country added four.

HCC honors Phi Theta Kappa inductees
Holyoke Community College is proud to announce the newest members of the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Forty-seven HCC students were honored during an induction ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 26. This special event recognizes students who have demonstrated academic achievement according to the Phi Theta Kappa standards. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa when they have completed 15 college credits with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
